Working with orphans, vulnerable children and widows is a concerted effort which needs a lot of ideas and  many hands to be put together. The orphans’ problem does not belong to only people with orphans it’s every body’s problem.

Throughout Africa, thousands of community based organizations are trying to addressing the growing needs of orphans and families made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS, these organizations are strengthening the traditional safety-net  of the extended families through a range of vital programs and services often operating with minimal funding and with a great deal of volunteers support. Community-based groups are the frontlines responses to the needs of children affected by AIDS.

Many people have realized that it’s not only the duty of the church to reveal the father’s heart to the orphans and widows (James 1:17) but it only needs many hands and a lot of ideas to be put together as we are assured in Mathew 8:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning any that they ask, it will be done for them by my father in heaven”.

Many children in Africa where some of them are Aids Orphans  are growing up in a misery, abnormal life, psychological torture, luck and others have realized that they would live throughout their destiny while suffering, where in the same situation and to larger extent with orphaned children , vulnerable children and widows, it’s against such convictions that we initiated and founded Arise The Orphan Children Uganda (A.T.O.C.U.) that will be addressing orphans, vulnerable children widows state of suffering and suggesting measures of improving  their ways of life to good life, raising  of funds and provide good standards of life as  we are told in ISAIAH 1:17says that  “ Look to good ;seek justice, correct oppression, defend fatherless, plead for the widow”.

Arise The Orphan Children Uganda is a development focused initiative with its activities inclined to support the orphans and vulnerable children, support to people with disabilities, support to the elders, widows/widowers, support and care to the young mothers, identifying and support to destitute families, and evangelization of spiritual faith to the needy communities, plus social function management, capacity building, but also other income generating activities which are local, national, international CBO/NGO with its head office in  Butiki village, Jinja district.

The organization was started in 2016   by Arise The Orphan Children Uganda after seeing that there is a great number of street children and children living with HIV/AIDS in the community.

This was formed  in order to help children from infant stage up to 18 years in case he/she is an orphans or helpless, these will be given clothes, scholastics materials, food, medication, gifts, shelter, safe drinking water and many more.
